Why you can't find Compose Massage on social media
I know social media is a very, Very popular thing. I get it - it’s bright and shiny and fun and keeps you engaged. But I started realizing that it didn’t really bring me a lot of lasting joy. So, last year over the summer I deleted my personal accounts. It was tough, because it was a very easy way to keep in touch with some people. While I do need to make a bit more effort to keep relationships going, I don’t feel like there has been any long term damage done.
Deleting my personal accounts was a bit of a trial run. I thought that if I could put my online engagement effort into my website and a bi-weekly newsletter perhaps that would be a better use of my energy. And it turns out I kind of like writing a newsletter every other week. I get to shuffle together some cute pictures and announce the appointments I have open for the next two weeks. I also get to write a little email to people who actually want to hear from me, which is exciting! Today, after sending out my Sunday newsletter, I realized I was dreading the task of cross posting all that info to social accounts that I don’t particularly enjoy being on.
So, that’s why you won’t find Compose Massage on social media accounts. I don’t love participating in them and maybe that means my business will have to learn to live without them.
I do love putting my energy into my website and newsletter though and you’ll always be able to find up to date information on Compose Massage there!
Also, this is not to make anyone feel bad for using and loving social media. I want everyone to make their own best choices!!
In the spirit of complete honesty, the choice to remove my own personal and business accounts does not mean I don’t participate in social media at all. I am still 50% responsible for running the accounts for Wintersweet Wellness Collective.
