Welcome 2023!

Welcome 2023

I’m not usually one for traditional resolutions. I often take some time around my birthday to evaluate my past year. Since it’s only a month or so to the new year, that gives me time to ponder any changes I’d like to make. For the new calendar year I usually try to pick a theme to follow, something that I think will help me through the year with keeping on task.

The theme of this year is practice. I have so many things I want to learn, areas I’d like to improve in. But I know I get caught in the learning stage. There is only so much that learning about something can offer, eventually you have to try to do the thing! So this year I will try practice a little bit every day. Hopefully by 2024 I will be closer to my goals!

Do you have any resolutions or plans for the new year?

The bath bomb for January is Sakura. I love this one and usually feature it once a year. It’s such a relaxing scent! If you have a birthday this month don’t forget to take home your bath bomb gift.

Also, I’ll be opening a few more appointments up on Sundays in the new year. I was working alternating Sundays, but they’re such a popular day that I’ve just put all of them up on the schedule.

See you soon!

New Location Info!

We are just three blocks south of Whyte ave and you can catch the 4 and the 8 buses going east and west. There is free street parking along the north side of 79th ave, across the street from our building. The parking in front of us is max 30 minutes Monday through Friday until 5pm, but defaults to free street parking after that (so evenings and weekends)

New Location in September

Some of you have heard already, but so everyone is in the know Wintersweet Wellness Collective (the clinic that I work out of and co-own with Jennifer Semeniuk) is moving September 1st. We’re really excited about the new space and I really think you’ll love it as much as we do.

The new spot it not so far away, just a little south of Whyte Ave on 104th street. 10429 79 Avenue NW, 2nd floor. It’s right above A Sense of Unity and just a door away from Where Faeries Live, two of my favourite places for candles and sparkly items. There will be ample reminders through the online booking system and in person at appointments over the next month though! So hopefully that will make for a smooth transition.

This will also come with a tiny tweak to my schedule, I’ll be wrapping up a bit early on Mondays as I’ll be sharing the room with someone else. My new schedule is as follows

Sunday 10am – 4pm
Monday 9am – 2pm
Tuesday 9am – 6pm
Friday 9am - 5pm

August Bath Bomb

I was so excited when I got the email from Lush about this bath bomb. It was such a easy pick for this month. The Orangutan bath bomb is a beautiful blend of Dark Sumatran pachouli oil and Kukui nut oil. On top of that, they support a great cause.

“100% of the purchase price (minus the taxes) of this bath bomb will support the Sumatran Orangutan Society, a group working with forest edge communities in Indonesia to protect and rewild the Sumatran rainforest. To make these bath bombs, we are using regenerative ingredients from the same ecosystem as the orangutans, including responsibly-sourced dark patchouli oil and kukui oil. Each one has a message inside, inviting you to listen to what you’re protecting–a soundscape recorded deep in the forest at West Toba.”
